Geoffrey Hart - Who has the second story in Swords & Sorceries: Tales of Heroic Fantasy Volume 10

From my Introduction to Swords & Sorceries: Tales of Heroic Fantasy Volume 10 (to be published in May) here are details of the second writer included in the anthology: Geoffrey Hart:

Geoff Hart’s stories appeared in volume 1 (“Chain of Command”), as well as volume 4 (“At Sea”) and volume 8 (“The Quality of Mercy”). The first two are witty takes on Fritz Leiber's Fafhrd and Gary Mouser stories, and the latter is something far darker. The Leiber-inspired stories are affectionate homages to Fritz Leiber’s disreputable heroes, but “with gender swapped protagonists and a more modern sensibility.” This time, his contribution (“Safe As Banks”) raises the question of how, in a world with only the most primitive banking system, heroes can safeguard their increasingly voluminous treasures. The obvious solution may not be as effective as one might hope.

Geoff works as a scientific editor, specializing in helping scientists who have English as their second language publish their research. He’s the author of the popular Effective Onscreen Editing and Write Faster With Your Processor. He also writes fiction in his spare time, and has sold 79 stories thus far, including stories in three of Darrell Schweitzer’s Lovecraft anthologies: Mountains of Madness Revealed, Shadows Out of Time, and Cold War Cthulhu.
