After giving it much thought the proposed date for Swords & Rockets: Tales of Futures Past
will be publication in February 2026 with a submissions period starting
on the 1st January for the full calendar month. I'll confirm this is
definite at a later date.
Above is a retro logo which may be used for the book. Jim Pitts is currently working on a cover illustration.
Below is a summary of our submissions details. Please don't send anything, though, till January 1st 2026.
Payment will be £25 per story regardless of length plus one contributor's copy of
the paperback. The book will be published as a paperback and ebook. Please send your submissions as attachments (doc, docx or rtf) headed

Please send only one submission - the one you consider the best fit for us.
Although we like original stories we are fully prepared to consider reprints too. Just let us know where and when it was previously published.
You can send in simultaneous submissions, but let us know if your story is accepted elsewhere as soon as you possibly can. Bear in mind you will only have to wait a maximum of one month and one week in which to receive a decision from us.
There is no limit on the size of submissions.
There is absolutely no need to tell us anything about yourself because the only thing that matters is the story. Everything else is irrelevant.
