From the Introduction to Swords & Sorceries: Tales of Heroic Fantasy Volume 11:

"Newcomer to our series with “Good Fortune” is Mungai M’mbogori, who uses the pen name Ũũmbi. Mungai M'mbogori is a young and emerging writer, based in Nairobi, Kenya. His last formal occupation was at a local publishing house called Storymoja, also based in Nairobi, as a writer and editor. After leaving the company in August 2024 to be an independent artist, he has since been published by Qwani, a youth led publication based in Nairobi and is a graduate of the Sanara program for scriptwriters, which was facilitated by the Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with Heva Fund, Baraza Media Lab, SNDBX Ubuntu and The GoDown Arts Centre. Under his pen name “Ũũmbi” he likes to write poetry, fiction and sometimes essays. When he is not writing, he enjoys reading books, comics, watching anime and listening to music."
