Geoffrey Hart - Who has the second story in Swords & Sorceries: Tales of Heroic Fantasy Volume 10

From my Introduction to Swords & Sorceries: Tales of Heroic Fantasy Volume 10 (to be published in May) here are details of the second writer included in the anthology: Geoffrey Hart:

Geoff Hart’s stories appeared in volume 1 (“Chain of Command”), as well as volume 4 (“At Sea”) and volume 8 (“The Quality of Mercy”). The first two are witty takes on Fritz Leiber's Fafhrd and Gary Mouser stories, and the latter is something far darker. The Leiber-inspired stories are affectionate homages to Fritz Leiber’s disreputable heroes, but “with gender swapped protagonists and a more modern sensibility.” This time, his contribution (“Safe As Banks”) raises the question of how, in a world with only the most primitive banking system, heroes can safeguard their increasingly voluminous treasures. The obvious solution may not be as effective as one might hope.

Geoff works as a scientific editor, specializing in helping scientists who have English as their second language publish their research. He’s the author of the popular Effective Onscreen Editing and Write Faster With Your Processor. He also writes fiction in his spare time, and has sold 79 stories thus far, including stories in three of Darrell Schweitzer’s Lovecraft anthologies: Mountains of Madness Revealed, Shadows Out of Time, and Cold War Cthulhu. Harry Elliott - First story in Swords & Sorceries: Tales of Heroic Fantasy Volume 10

From my Introduction to Swords & Sorceries: Tales of Heroic Fantasy Volume 10 (to be published in May) here are details of the first writer included in the anthology: Harry Elliott:
Welcome to our tenth volume of sword and sorcery stories, which as usual is a mixture of brand new names and the return of some longtime favourites.
And speaking of longtime favourites, we open this time with another exciting chapter in the bizarre adventures of Harry Elliott’s popular Under-Valley stories of Mann Silver, Hel Strumm and the perpetually-thirsty Gul Hakker.
Harry Elliott is a British author with a passion for the fictional and the fantastic. When faced with the question “What is best in life?” in regard to his writing, to read his work it may seem that he has decided thusly: To crush your characters, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the readers! The truth, fortunately, is not so harsh. Across his written works you may often fear for the characters throughout many perils, from the war-torn worlds of his military science fiction novel, Warrior Errant, across the neon-splashed quest for vengeance in his short cyberpunk series, DataJack, to the mysterious and mythic setting of the Under-Valley, explored in the sword and sorcery stories, Skulls for Silver, Trials for Treasure, Blades for a Bounty and Masks for the Madness where beasts of legend lurk, and warriors do battle by strength and steel, so long as there's coin involved. However dire the events of these tales may become, this author would have you read on, always and forever, for through the thrill and the fear, he hopes that you will find at the very least some small measure of escape from your own trials and, just maybe, a happy ending too.”
